The Little Fawn was created by Shane Connolly of Sokobauno Puppet Theatre in 2010. The caravan has been touring theatre festivals, street arts events, family friendly music festivals, arts festivals, community events as well as smaller gala days and fetes. We offer a broad repertoire of shows for both children and adults, a selection of puppet making and performance workshops are also available, these can be tailored to meet specific themes and serve individual groups.

The festival highlight for me was The Little Fawn Caravan. Not just because it is a wonderfully intimate space in which to view a performance.  Shane Connolly’s two shows were masterpieces: tragic, comic and totally riveting, adults and children came out raving about them.

Festival Mondial

We are also pleased to announce support from Puppet Animation Scotland in 2015

PAS are taking The Little Fawn Caravan to Festival Mondial des Marionnettes in Charleville Meziere, Ardennes France.  www.festival-marionnette.com/fr/ The festival is the largest puppet festival in Europe and has been running bi-annually and tri-annually for over 50 years. – It was in fact this festival that inspired Shane to create The Little Fawn after seeing many other converted wagons, mobile booths, peep shows and mini gadabouts scattered all over the town –  As part of the trip Puppet Animation Scotland are also offering other Scottish puppet companies the opportunity to prepare new-work for the caravan and to showcase their developed pieces at the festival.

We’re  also delighted to that The Little Fawn will be located in the picturesque Place Ducalle the old town’s central main square.

More info on this development opportunity can be found here.  http://puppetanimation.org/content/page.php?page_id=18
